Less Than Jake & Bowling For Soup Rips Through Vegas
The punk legends Less Than Jake and Bowling for Soup co-headlined at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas with openers, Doll Skin and Cliffdiver.
Although I caught the last couple songs of Doll Skin's set, I can tell this 4 piece punk outfit was really kicking the show off with straight veracity along with smooth melodies. Be on the lookout this for this band from Arizona.
Cliffdiver, an emo-pop band from Oklahoma, that were really killing their set with great energy and messaging in their music. From the topics of the challenges of parenting, to ripping on Ikea, and randomly Daniel Radcliffe.
The pop punk legends, Bowling for Soup, along with just ripping through their set with ferocious tunes, but they have so much crowd control and participation that I have never seen. A lot of jokes were between in the middle of songs and before ripping into the next song. Highlight of the night: they randomly held a quick comedy special for whichever band member tells the best joke, they get the choice of playing the next song.
Less Than Jake, the legends from Florida, is definitely a ska-punk rock band that rips. The band went back-to-back , ripping through each song without minimal breaks. They truly know how to party and show the crowd with a good time. Highlight of the night (part 2): frontman, Chris DeMakes, hilariously called a out of couple making out in the front of the stage the entire time during the first half of their set.
